Chana chat
Delicious sweet sour white grams chat
Ingredients
White grams: half kg
Normal size potatoes
Piped tamarind: 250 gram
Curd: 150 gram
onions: 2
tomatoes: 250 grams
green coriander: 1 handful
mint leaves: as you want
Red grand chili: 1 tbsp
Chat Masala: 1 tbsp ( unnecessary)
Salt: as you want
Sugar: 3 ts
baking soda: half teaspoon
Nigella seeds: 1/4 teaspoon
Preparation
1_ First of all clean white grams and dip them in water for 3 hours and put 1/4 teaspoon baking soda in it.
2_Then wash the ripped tamarind and dip it in 1 cup of water for 15 minutes.
3_After 15 minutes smash tamarind take out its seeds. Pour 2 more cups of water in the remaining tamarind, mix-up in it 1/4 teaspoon of nigella seeds, 1/2 teaspoon red chili, sugar, and salt.
4_Pour this sauce into a pot and cook it at low heat flame when it gets thick and its color is changed then turned off the flame.
5_After 3 hours wash white grams and put them in a pot with half full of water put remaining soda in it then put it on high flames when water gets bubbles then turn the flames at low and let it cook for one and a half hours.
6_ Again wash grams and mix red chili, salt chat masala in it.
7_Wash and chop onions, tomatoes, coriander, and mint leaves and mix in the grams.
8_ A mix in it curd and tamarind sauce.
And your delicious sweet, sour gram chat ready to serve and eat and thankful to me.
